Leo Major: the one-eyed ghost

A true hero of the Second World War, Léo Major single-handedly liberated a Dutch town and it's 50 000 inhabitants from Nazi occupation. Although he is honoured annually in the Netherlands, the remarkable achievements of this Quebec soldier remain largely unknown in his homeland.

2025 marks the 80th anniversary of the liberation of the city of Zwolle.
