Formation Code Blanc

Managing situations with a violent person and applying a code white procedure.

Equip all staff to apply established security procedures

Client: CIUSSS of the South-Central Island of Montreal (CCSMTL)

**Given the nature of this mandate, we present it to you as a case study supported by a few images to illustrate it.

Mandate

Create informative and diverse video content to support and enhance the training offered to all staff at all CCSMTL establishments.

Challenges

Being in the healthcare field with all its demands and obligations, many might be resistant or unmotivated by “another boring training!”

We also had to produce the content of this training within an accelerated timeframe and within an optimal budget.

Our Approach

We decided to harness the power of cinema and propose (create and integrate) fictional stories into the various training modules. Through three different case studies, each employee explains the situation they experienced as if they were telling it to a colleague. To further captivate the audience, different parts of the story are supported by images of the situation, as if they were witnessing it.

For maximum impact, we opted for each situation to be interpreted by professional actors and to integrate 10 CIUSSS staff members into the extras to increase the sense of belonging.

To take the concept even further and keep employees engaged, we created a plot that would evolve through the modules with a conclusion only in the 3rd module.

Result

Through close collaboration with CCSMTL committee members and Propulsion RH, we created a unique training course that facilitated learner identification, created a sense of belonging and mobilization, reinforced the application of established security procedures and standardized their applications for all establishments comprising more than 17,000 employees.
