Code White training

Managing situations involving a violent person and applying a code white procedure.

Equip and empower the healthcare staff to implement established safety procedures.

Client: CIUSSS du Centre-Sud-de-l'Île-de-Montréal (CCSMTL)

Given the nature of this mandate, we present it to you as a case study supported by a few images to illustrate it.

Mandate

Create informative and diverse video content to support and enhance the training offered to all staff at all CCSMTL establishments.

Challenges

In the fast-paced world of healthcare, many staff members might feel reluctant or unmotivated by "another boring training course", adding another chore to all the demands and obligations. We turned that challenge into an opportunity by creating an engaging, practical, and memorable Code White training experience.

We also had to deliver this training within an accelerated timeframe and an optimal budget.

Our Approach

We harnessed the power of cinema, incorporating fictional scenarios into each module. Through three immersive case studies, employees share their experiences as if speaking to a colleague, while visuals bring the situations to life—placing the audience right in the moment.

To maximize engagement, professional actors brought each scenario to life, supported by 10 CIUSSS staff members as extras, reinforcing a sense of community and belonging.

We took the concept further by creating a narrative that unfolds across modules, keeping employees invested until the resolution in the third and final module.

Result

Thanks to close collaboration with the CCSMTL committee and Propulsion RH, we created a unique training program that fosters learner identification, builds a sense of belonging, and drives engagement. It reinforces the consistent application of established security procedures across all facilities, impacting more than 17,000 employees.
